The conical flank structure is weak but moresharp.After grinding, the R value will decrease.

Rake Angle

The larger of the positive rake Angle, the sharper the cutting edge. Meanwhile, the strength of the cutting edge is reduced and fragile. And it is easy to wear and crumble.With the increase of the negative rake angle and the cutting force is increase. It is suitable for cutting high strength materials.

The cylindrical flank structure has greater vibration resistance and rigidity. After grinding,the R angle remains basically unchanged.

Relief Angle

The larger of the relief angle, the weaker of the cutting edge.The small relief angles tools are suitable for high strength materials.The large relief angel tools are suitable for soft and low strength materials.

The surface roughness of diamond tool can be less than Ra0.01μm. There is no defects

of cutting edge under the 3000 times microscope. And the friction coefficient is very

small, which can make surface meet the requirements of the super mirror nanometer level.
